Pictures of Segundo

Here are some shots from our ultrasound on 8/23/06. Everything looks good - baby measures here at 17 weeks, so our three due date estimates are Jan. 23, Jan. 31, and Feb. 5. Rachel has her money on January 29, 2007. On a side note, I think I caught a glimpse of the nether regions and my amateur interpretation of the gender is female - but don't get too excited - I'd only be willing to put about 50 cents on it. These images are fleeting and I have been known to confuse the head with the stomach. To sum up: Rachel is leaning toward boy, Danny says girl, and Henry says "Huh? What baby?"

Leda 1993 - 2006

Leda

Our sweet dog Leda died this morning. She was thirteen. She had a good life and I am glad that we had her for as long as we did. She was a great companion, friend and altogether quirky dog. I will really miss her.

Just to make it official - we are expecting a new addition to our family in late January - here is one of the first images - looked like a boy to me - but we don't actually know. The baby's hand is in the air - baby power!

We had a great week last week spending Saturday at Hyco Lake celebrating Papa Dennis' birthday and Father's Day, then onto Winston to spend Father's day with Grandaddy Kuhn, then ... on to the beach for a whole week with the Davis clan. We have tons of pictures! It was a great fun filled week and we are just now getting back to "normal". Danny starts his one month rotation at Duke Hospital starting this month, so we are never really at normal I don't think.
